WEBINAR - Tools Series (part 2): Using the “5 Whys” and “So Whats” to Identify Root Causes and Downstream Impacts

When analyzing a problem or situation, it is important to understand what may have caused it in the first place, so we can take action to avoid it reoccurring in the future.  Similarly, before we decide on a resolution, we should look at the longer-term impacts of those decisions and not just look at the short-term benefits.  Up-stream and down-stream thinking are skills required by good leaders.

In this webinar, management strategist Bill Richardson introduces two additional thinking tools you can use to help broaden your problem analysis and decision-making skills:  the "5 Whys" to uncover root causes of a situation and the "So Whats" to reveal down-stream impacts of a decision before you commit to it.

This is part of our "Tools Series" wherein we teach a number of problem analysis and decision-making tools that one can use to make better, more rational decisions.
