Technological changes have swept through the workplace introducing new capabilities, new tools, and new business models. The project management profession has been affected by this trend as much (or more) than any other profession, as project managers are often managing teams of diverse other professions, each impacted in various ways by these new technologies. One of the most recent technological changes has been the introduction of practical tools based on artificial intelligence that are completely transforming our workplaces.
In this two-day course, participants will learn about the various ways that artificial intelligence is already being used on projects today including using AI to generate reports, using AI to transcribe meetings, using AI to process site security videos to monitor for suspicious activity, using AI to look for variances and questionable invoices from suppliers, and more. Actual examples will be presented using real-world software tools to illustrate key points. This course is not just about capabilities, however: it also deals with the legal and ethical issues that are raised when using AI on our projects. Through a series of case study activities, group discussions, and other exercises, participants will work together to solve current business challenges created by artificial intelligence and will explore ways in which AI can benefit project management.
