The project management profession needs more women. While historically a male-dominated profession, project management benefits greatly from the different perspectives and skills brought to projects by women. Yet, many women — especially younger women — are reluctant to help rebalance the scales by joining this lucrative profession. Studies have cited a lack of role models and a lack of mentoring and networking opportunities as they key barriers to having more women join the profession.

To ameliorate this situation, Procept has joined with the Project Management Association of Canada and others to sponsor a free half-day online conference where women can meet some of the most successful project managers in the country — all of whom happen to be other women.
