Terry (Aldebert) McLean is the BA Practice Lead and has been a Training and Consulting Associate with Procept Associates Ltd. for more than 7 years.
Terry has been a business analyst her entire career starting in financial services in the late 90s. Her focus was electronic banking, including ABM, telephone banking and online banking, as well as the mortgage and insurance lines of business. Upon leaving financial services Terry joined the municipal government, where she was a business analyst supporting Water, Solid Waste, Transportation Services and Urban Forestry. While with the City of Toronto she also worked as a Project Manager for the 3-1-1 Project which implemented a centralized contact centre and service request application for all city information and operations. In 2010, Terry joined a provincial agency as a Senior Business Analyst working with all levels of the organization on data acquisition and management, process reengineering and software development projects. In 2013, she became the manager for a team of Business Analysts in the Strategy and Business Excellence department but still acts as a business analyst on organizational design and strategic projects.
In her current role, as Manager of Business Analysis, Terry is responsible for developing Business Analysis standards, methodologies, and processes to be used across the organization. She also supports the Business Analysis Community of Practice, as well as coaching and mentoring her team and other Business Analysts in the organization on Business Analysis best practices.
Terry’s education is in applied science, geography and politics. She has been trained on Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. Terry is a member of the International Institute of Business Analysis, and the Project Management Institute and holds the Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®) and PMI Project Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) certifications.
