Michael Pace

Michael Pace, Ph.D., is a highly accomplished project management professional, consultant, and trainer with over 20 years of experience in building and leading high-performance teams, developing and implementing effective project management processes, and driving organizational change initiatives. Michael's expertise spans diverse industries, including higher education, healthcare, and telecommunications.

Michael is a recognized thought leader in the field of project management, having contributed more than 50 papers, book chapters, publications, and presentations to advance the discipline. He is the author of "Managing Projects" (Kendall Hunt Publishing, 2020) and has co-authored several case studies for the textbook "Entrepreneurship: The Practice and Mindset" (Sage Publications, 2023).

In addition to his academic and professional roles, Michael is also the President Emeritus of the International Project Management Association, United States Member Association (IPMA-USA), and is currently interim chair/convenor for the Board of Trustees for Gaia Education.  

As a management consultant specializing in sustainability, Michael is committed to empowering individuals and organizations with the knowledge and skills needed to achieve project success, foster a culture of excellence, and drive continuous improvement. He is a frequent speaker on project methods and sustainable project management, sharing his expertise at international conferences and industry events.  Michael is the Director of Academic Practice for GPM, the leader in sustainable project management training, consulting, and assessment.

Michael holds a PhD in Business Management from Capella University, an MS in Forensic Science from Sam Houston State University, and a BS in Forensic Science from Baylor University. He is currently pursuing an additional doctorate (EdD) from the University of Glasgow.
