There are few with the depth of experience at deploying agile practices than Scott Ambler. One of the original agilists, Scott has been instrumental in bringing agile practices to Rational. He has served as a key team member in a number of transformational initiatives, including the development of service offerings to assist clients in their adoption of disciplined agile techniques.

Kelli Houston, Technical Enablement / Community of Practice Lead, IBM:

A United States federal government agency that I directly support requested Scott by name, and on short notice, to consult with one of their development teams with the objective of offering process methodology guidance and feedback at a critical point in their release cycle. Scott's intuitive observations and recommendations demonstrated, once again, why he is a widely recognized expert on Agile.

Lewis White, Enterprise Software Application Performance Testing, U.S. Government:

Having worked with Scott on a number of client engagements I've seen the clarity of thinking he brings to management and teams being agile. He removes the agile rhetoric and gets to the heart of the things that make a difference in getting agile teams and organisations delivering effectively. I would recommend Scott to any organisation who is serious about being rather just doing agile. I've learnt a lot from Scott and hope I'm fortunate to work with him more in the future.

Tony Grout, Software Delivery Productivity Executive, IBM:

Scott is one of the most interesting people that I have ever worked with. He is a bold, honest, confident, and innovative thinker who has a passion for helping customers improve their software development and their Agility. Scott is not afraid to speak his mind and share his opinions even when that goes against conventional wisdom or his own self interest. He does this from a caring heart and often uses humor to get a difficult point across. There are few people with the depth of experience at deploying and developing agile practices than Scott Ambler.

Richard Knaster, Worldwide Practice Manager - Agile & ALM (Rational Team Concert), IBM:

I would recommend Scott as a moderator for any, but mostly Agile Development panel discussion. Due to his great skills and experiences he manage to moderate people in a way that creat great atmosphere and also sharp discussions. I hope to co-operate even more with Scott in the future. He is a great motivator that challenge people to more experiences and more innovation. His moderation of the Agile Panel at the RSDC this year 2008 was kind of excellent and very joyful to the audience.

Anna K. Gustafsson, Head of Sub unit New Technology Services, Nordea Bank AB:

Scott was definitely one of the most inspiring figures in my career. I heard him at a talk at the local Agile group and he made me believe again that it was possible to be both an happy and productive software programmer without excessive red tape and headaches. The ideas and techniques he presented were immediately useful in my work. I wish more companies would adopt his philosophy...

Ricky Ng-Adam:

Scott and I worked together as process mentors. This was about the same time as he was finishing up his book Process Patterns. I found working with Scott to be great fun. He is insightful and witty. Always interested in helping others gain greater insight into the way things are done - or could be done better. If you are working with Scott - you are a lucky person and you will be happy with the outcome.

Robert White, Managing Principal, RJW Consulting:

I would happily recommend Scott to anyone seeking an expert and recognised leader in the field of Agile Development. I have had the pleasure of working with Scott a couple of times helping us formulate our business case for the adoption of Agile techniques at Moneysupermarket.com. He has a passionate belief in Agile techniques that translates into clear and concise advise on how best to adopt this approach. He backs up all of his observations and advice with indepth research conducted over a number of years.

Alan Goodwin, MBCS, CITP:

As a expert in agile software methods, Scott Ambler is also an excellent mentor. Although I have only known Scott for a short time, he is willing to mentor others in their understanding of this software discipline. I sincerely appreciate the time that he has taken to assist me with a recent survey on agile software methods for an information technology community. I have learned a great deal from Scott. I have also followed his web-based interviews, which have also been very informative.
