Rose-Marie Yee is an Executive Program Manager with 25+ years of combined experience in Project Management, Portfolio Management, Software Product Development, Business Process Management, and Client Delivery Management. She has extensive experience in Portfolio and Project Management disciplines, aligning Management Systems to business strategies, Governance, Controls, Operational Management, and Project Control Office with oversight of 70+ Project Managers and with total budgets in excess of $1Bn. Managed large information technology projects in a global network delivery model working with multiple service lines of business across the Canadian geography.
She has held a key leadership role for Contract Portfolio Management and Delivery Excellence in a global IT company managing a large portfolio of projects across Canada providing management oversight for active projects in execution to ensure the attainment of profit targets and customer metrics. Additionally, she held responsibility for the strategy, implementation and support of tools and processes in Canada which supports the project management disciplines required to achieve profitable contracts.
Rose-Marie has acted as the competency leader for the PM COE of a global IT company having directional responsibility sustaining the competency and vitality of its members which includes mentoring staff on project management discipline and provide strategic and tactical guidance to project managers as a trusted advisor. Identifying project management training areas to address known project management pain points that have been identified through lesson learned reviews. Organized and lead education sessions on project management topics, tools and processes. Developed, produced, managed and maintained intellectual capital for practitioners to ensure SOX compliance and profitable projects. Published Project Management newsletter for the PM community and developed and executed plans to attain/maintain sufficient certified project managers staffing levels. Monitored the project management progress to determine PM process/tool maturity for the business division.
She started her career in Information Technology programming, testing and providing application support in the software laboratory for the C compiler development team for IBM. She received her education at Ryerson Polytechnic University and the University of Western Ontario, and throughout her professional career have received hundreds of hours of technical, project management and consulting training. She achieved PMP certification in 2000 and IBM Certified PM in 2006. She has been recognized for her leadership role with the prestigious IBM‘s Global Leadership Award for her ability to execute with the speed, simplicity, and teamwork needed to keep ahead of competition while exceeding customer expectations.
